Business Announcement

Tell every guest something before they book.

What it's for

Some things every guest needs to know before they pick a time, not after: you are closed next Monday for a holiday, the terrace is shut for repairs, there is a set menu on New Year's Eve, parking has moved.

The announcement is a running banner across your booking page. Guests read it while they are choosing, which is the only moment it can still change what they do — an hour later it is an apology instead of information.

It costs nothing to send and reaches everyone who visits, so it also works as a plain welcome, or to point at something you would like more people to notice.

How to reach & use it

1
Open Announcement
Tap the announcement banner on the mainboard, or open the block from your dashboard.
2
Write it
Keep it to a sentence — it runs as a banner, not a paragraph. “Closed Monday 5 May for the holiday” says everything it needs to.
3
Check the preview
The dialog shows exactly what guests will see, so you can read it back before anyone else does.
4
Switch it on
Enable the announcement to publish it. Switch it off the moment it stops being true — a stale banner is worse than none.

Limits & good to know

One announcement at a time — it is a banner, not a noticeboard.
It appears on your online booking page only. It is not sent to guests who already booked; for them, use a confirmation or a reminder message.
It shows to everyone who opens the page, so it cannot be aimed at a single date or a single guest.
Nothing expires it for you. If it announces a closure that has passed, it stays up until you turn it off.
Plain text, one line — no links, images or formatting.

Frequently asked questions

Do guests who already booked see the announcement?

Only if they open your booking page again. To reach guests who are already in the book, send a confirmation or reminder message instead.

Can I schedule it to disappear?

Not yet — you switch it off yourself. Worth setting a reminder if it announces something with an end date.

How long should it be?

One sentence. It runs across the page as a banner, and a guest choosing a time will read a line but not a paragraph.
