Booking Permissions

Decide what each coworker may change.

What it's for

Not everyone who needs to SEE the board should be able to CHANGE it. A new host in their first week, a kitchen screen, a part-timer covering the door: they need the day’s bookings in front of them, not the power to cancel one.

Each coworker has four booking permissions you can switch on or off: add and edit bookings, approve online bookings, delete and cancel bookings, and manage the waiting list. One switch above them, Read only, turns all four off at once.

Whatever you switch off, the app hides or disables. The server also refuses it, so the limit holds on every device and every version of the app.

How to reach & use it

1
Open Coworkers
From the dashboard, open Coworkers and tap the coworker you want to limit.
2
Choose their permissions
Under Booking permissions, switch off what they should not do. Or switch on Read only to let them see the board without changing anything.
3
Save
The coworker’s list row shows a Limited or Read only badge, so you can see at a glance who has full access.
4
What they see
Buttons they cannot use are hidden or disabled. If they try anyway, a message tells them to ask the owner for access.

Limits & good to know

The owner and supervisors can always do everything. Permissions apply to the other coworker roles.
Coworkers you added before permissions existed keep full access until you change them.
Restoring a cancelled booking counts as cancelling, so it needs the delete permission.
Seating someone from the waiting list turns them into a booking, so it needs the add and edit permission.
Guests booking online are not affected.

Frequently asked questions

Can a read-only coworker still see bookings?

Yes. They see the whole board, the bookings and the waiting list. They just cannot change them.

Can a coworker give themselves more access?

No. Only the owner or a supervisor can change a coworker’s permissions, and the server enforces that.

Can someone approve online bookings without being able to cancel them?

Yes. Each of the four permissions is separate, so you can allow any mix.
